This project was a large-scale rear garden transformation.
We started with a consultation with the customer. The team discussed in detail with the client their ideas and visions for the new garden. The team then went away and designed the landscape with all these details in mind, managing costs in the best way possible to make the vision affordable for the customers budget. The customer was sent the design and quote and after some tweaks and amendments to match their design idea, it was agreed.

Rear Garden Landscape Project - Billericay, Essex

The project involved large scale clearance and excavation to ensure the sloping garden was now level, practical and usable.
A new 114m2 Porcelain patio was to be installed across the entirety of the rear of the house creating the perfect space for entertaining family and friends. With the chosen Porcelain tile being a 600x900mm Earth Core Grey, the large scale of the patio shows the beauty of the tile; outlined with a dark granite colour grout along with a granite Omega block border around the perimeter to separate the patio from other areas of the garden. Tiles were laid on a concrete base with reinforcement mesh to ensure no movement of the patio area, with each tile being primed and laid on wet concrete to again ensure its longevity and sustainability for the client. Aco drainage channels were installed along the house along with our team’s levelling expertise, to ensure appropriate drainage for the patio area minimising the risk of surface water or any puddles forming. Modern Recessed-manhole covers were used with the same tile set inside to reduce visibility of them and keep consistency of the tile pattern throughout the patio.
The next part of the project was the installation of a smaller sun patio. This was a raised patio area to accommodate a small seating area which catches the sun later in the day for the couple to relax and enjoy the view of their new garden landscape. This was to match the main patio but with a Bull-nose kerb around the perimeter to make it raised from the rest of the garden.
Our team installed 777 Bull-nosed kerbs around the garden’s pre-existing, shaped flower-beds that the client was keeping within the design of the new landscape. Some small amendments were made to ensure the shape and curves matched and provided the feature that was desired by the customer. All kerbs were set on concrete to ensure stability and pointed to suit. The granite colour of these blocks kept consistency with the patios throughout the garden.
The next step for our team on this project was the installation of 172m2 Artificial grass! This was a task for our dedicated team. Ensuring that the ground was level and based correctly to ensure drainage for rain water was ample for the clay soil. Removal of all old turf and grass seed was important, a high quality woven membrane was then installed across the entire area and secured into place. With large amounts of sub-base and sharp sand installed and levelled the team were finally ready to install our best-selling 35mm Artificial Grass. The large rolls of turf were rolled out and secured down to a concrete beam around the perimeter to ensure no movement for many years to come.
A decorative stone used to finish off the borders of the garden to create a seamless modern landscape for these customers to enjoy!
